Food Recovery and Distribution

People sorting canned goods
We rescue good food before it goes to waste—getting it quickly to food banks and community partners so nothing (and no one) gets left behind.

Every rescued meal matters. We bridge the gap between surplus food and empty plates, delivering nourishment directly to our neighbors facing hunger. Here’s how it works:

  • Food recovery: We partner with local grocery stores, restaurants, farmers, and other food providers to collect surplus food that would otherwise go to waste.
  • Food sorting: Our team of volunteers and staff sort and inspect the recovered food to ensure it meets safety and quality standards.
  • Food distribution: The rescued food is then distributed to our network of food banks, meal programs, and community agencies, ensuring it reaches those who need it most.

Through this program, we not only reduce food waste but also provide essential support to individuals and families facing hunger in our community. By working closely with our partners and volunteers, we’re able to make a significant impact and help create a more sustainable and equitable food system.
